I had been using the System47 screensaver for many years until recently. Your installation file must install an old version of Macromedia Flash bundled because our PC scanners detect this as an unpatched version and require us to update or uninstall. So I cannot use System 47 anymore. Unless I am incorrect in my diagnosis here, is there any way to avoid this? |

Hello everyone!
I hope most of you are checking back on the site (especially those experiencing errors on Mac OSX)
I understand many of you are angered by the owner of the site not keeping up with the project. For those of you who don't know yet, THE SITE HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED SINCE '06! *ALL* CONTACT WITH THE OWNER HAS FAILED SINCE THEN! So PLEASE do not spam the comments bashing the owner!
Some of us fans have begun to take over the project into our own hands to keep up with the countless demand by OSX users.
GodzFire and I have both released unofficial updates that have, so far, functioned as the original did.

At the moment, GodzFire's version is the most stable and the one with the least bugs.
I am also aware that my version may have many issues while running in OSX that is set in a language other than English.
Also, if anyone has intermediate knowledge of Flash programming, PLEASE contact GodzFire or I as we are looking for more fans that can actually update the screensaver in terms of features, rather than us just updating for newer OS's.
We can provide you with the original .swf file, if you don't know how to obtain it right now. GodzFire and I can compile it for you if you are willing to help with some GUI changes.

For those of those you using the new iMac with the new OSX Snow Leopard and like me couldn't System 47 to install without it giving an error 37 I have good news. I managed today to find a webpage where some very kind soul has worked this program so that it now will install and run on the Snow Leopard Follow the Link below. Here's what this person says on the webpage
System 47 is a "LCARS" style screen saver with various flashed-based animations.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM GODZFIRE: Loving this screensaver as much as I do, I was very sad when I found out that it would not install or function on 10.5 or 10.6. MeWho hasn't posted an update since mid 2006, and all attempts to contact him have failed. With what little knowledge I had, I was able to update the 'ScreenTime for Flash' installer so it now properly installs on the newer operating systems and functions when opened in the Screen Saver Preference Pane.
I take NO credit for ANY of System47 myself. Any, all, and every credit should go to the original author, MeWho. I simply made it possible for people to continue to enjoy this wonderful Screen Saver.

I personally don't know what motivated you to make System 47 for the Mac. I bought the New iMac Snow leopard OSX last month and your wonder dmg image although mounting and showing the file won't bloody install. It keeps coming up with an error message 37. There's nothing wrong with Apple Mac computers. There're one of the most advanced operating systems in the world. This one I'm using is brand new and up to date. If you're not going to bother fixing this for us Mac users then good. Don't wast our time. |

Hey does anyone know how to turn this lovely screen saver into a functioning desktop for OSX or at least use the colours and graphics of the lcars from this screen saver and turn it into a complimentary desktop for os X? |

THIS IS A REQUEST TO ANYONE WHO WORKS WITH FLASH:
While I was able to update the screensaver and installer to current standards, I do NOT have the ability to update the flash itself at all, nor have the knowledge to do so.
Because of that, if anyone would like to donate their time to work on a possible future version, please contact me! |

I have just gotten off the phone with Mac Tech support and been advised after installing another Apple screen saver that the error 37 is a problem with the System47 program and not my system. Some screen savers are not capable with OXS 10 |
